Dr. Yang obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Montreal School of Optometry in 2016. Desiring to deepen her knowledge in research and glaucoma, she joined the State University of New York (SUNY) in New York City to pursue a Combined Residency and Graduate degree where Dr. Yang received her Master in Vision Science in 2018.

Dr. Yang’s graduate research focused on psychophysical abnormalities in the early stages of glaucoma where she presented multiple talks and posters at international conferences such as ARVO and the International Perimetric Society. During clinical training, while precepting students in primary care, low vision, and glaucoma clinics, Dr. Yang discovered a passion for teaching.

Also close to her heart is eye care mission work.  Proficient in English, French, and Mandarin, Dr. Yang’s expertise is accessible for many people in need across the world.

Dr. Yang enjoys establishing long-term relationships with her patients.  “Caring for the eye health of my patients year after year is very gratifying.”
